Olympia London held an impressive event bringing together like-minded professionals from around the world and a variety of disciplines. Each day held different forums in which insightful lectures were held by experts in their field, from energy and communication to the built environment and finance.

Many of the lectures included a solid panel of well-informed industry experts answering key topical questions and offering analysis on the low carbon markets . This made for a very engaging, collaborative, and participatory couple of days.

It was also great to see the different stands exhibited throughout the amazing venue.

We got the opportunity to speak and network with many different companies and professionals, that are working towards net zero and sustainable business.

We saw the innovative systems, technology, communication, and more, that they are developing to help combat the climate crisis. Issues and obstacles we face on our journey to net zero where also frequently raised across conversations and lectures such as funding acquisition, skilled worker shortages, and how to integrate innovation and implement changes in a way that people will adopt.

A key takeaway from the congress was that we have a lot of the technology needed to aid us in achieving net zero but what we need are systems in place to actualise them whether that be funding, professional training, public and government support, infrastructure and more.
