Richard founded Cognition Land and Water in 2005 having worked as a Civil Engineer for AMEC and Nuttalls. With more than 30 years in the industry he has gained a wealth of experience and has established relationships with Main Contractors, Developers, Consultants and Government Organisations, Richard has shaped and developed the company to meet the ever-changing demands of our clients. Cognition Clean Energy has been set up to meet the growing need for clean and sustainable energy.
Jon has more than 30 years’ experience working in a range of environmental fields as a Regulator, Consultant and Contractor. As a Technical Manager with the Environmental Agency, Jon managed one of the largest environmental improvement projects in the UK, The Thames Tideway Tunnels. Jon is a co-founder of Cognition Land and Water, having filled the roles of Technical and Operations Director, and ensures that efficiency and sustainability are at the core of our solutions for clients.
Stuart has provided solutions within fuel infrastructure for over 15 years, He has wide-ranging knowledge on below ground fuel tanks on petrol forecourt including decommission to specification, design and installation, maintenance, pumps, fuel delivery and dispensation. As a specialist subject within fuel, he has extensive knowledge around environmental containment and pollution control,. Stuart has provided turnkey above ground diesel tank installations for a multitude of clients and industries in Europe, covering Rail, MOD, NHS, Haulage, FM amongst many others.
He has dedicated the last 4 years to helping clients transition from hydrocarbon use to cleaner options in LNG, CNG and Hydrogen.
James has been working in the environmental engineering sector since 1999. His role in the company identifies opportunities for our clients to benefit from new technologies which can be integrated to reduce carbon and generate revenue within the business. James has many years of experience in delivering projects from concept to reality.
Tomaz has a wealth of experience in environmental and sustainability management, project management, coordination and consultancy work. Tomaz is responsible for overseeing Cognition’s environmental performance, developing, implementing and monitoring sustainable environmental strategies and EMS management. Tomaz advises the board of directors on the delivery of impact reduction strategies, implementing environmental policies and practices, liaising with regulatory bodies, monitoring environmental performance, implementing strategies and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.
Jake is key to promoting and improving Cognition’s Health, Safety and Welfare standards. Jake and his team are embedded within all Cognition projects and involved in pre-planning and delivery of H&S, including conducting inspections and audits of sites and operations and advising clients on safe practice on interface works. Jake liaises with other management leads, particularly the Environment Management Team, to ensure company policies are integrated.
